Preparation of Video Documentation
HOPE produced the following VCDs during this project period March 2008 to January 2009:
Thalaivargal Urai (Speeches of Leaders): This is the first test Video
which will run only 10 minutes. The opinions of Coastal Leaders, Fishermen
Leaders, Social Activists on the CZM Notification is recorded in this
Visaranai (Investigation): This is the documentation of Public Hearing
conducted on the environmental hazards in the coastal area in Karaikal
Porattam (Agitations): This is the Video documentation of Demonstrations
conducted against CMZ on behalf of Coalition for the Livelihood Rights of
Coastal community in Puducherry, Tiruvarur, Ramanathapuram, Nagapattinam
and Tanjore
Kadalai Kappome (Lets save the ocean): This is the documentation of
public hearing organised by HOPE in association with the Centre for
Environment Education for the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt.
of India.
Kadalora Agadhigal (Coastal Refugees) Chennai District: Interview with
the coastal leaders, general public and the tsunami relief commissioner on
the status of housing.
